Pitot House, New Orleans, LA
Located on historic Bayou St. John and named for the first mayor of New Orleans, James Pitot, who lived here from 1810 - 1819. Pitot House is the only Creole colonial-style house museum in New Orleans. Listed on the National Trust for Historic Preservation, it has been owned and maintained by the Louisiana Landmarks Society since 1964.
