New Orleans Lakefront Airport Terminal, New Orleans, LA
Built in the 1930s and considered a marvel of architecture and art deco style. Master craftsmen worked in marble, stone, metal and wood to create one of the finest terminals, and it is one of the few Art Deco terminals still standing in the U.S. It has been restored to its former glory after renovations in the 1960s and Hurricane Katrina caused extensive damage with 4 ft. of water. It is a popular venue for its restaurants, receptions and events; and continues to provide private, commercial and military flight services.
